The Cambridge Program lays out comprehensive learning objectives in English, Mathematics and Science for students aged 5 years and 6 months to 8 years and 6 months to finish the 3rd primary stage and from age 8 years and 6 months to 11 years and 6 months to finish year 6 of the primary stage. The minimum age accepted for admission to KG1 is 3 years and 6 months old.
The Cambridge Primary offers two types of tests:
Progression Tests and Achievement Tests
Cambridge International Progression Tests are for in-school use only and are available whenever the teacher wants to use them. Their results can be analysed to produce information to aid teaching and learning.
Cambridge International Primary Achievement Tests are intended for the end of the final year of Primary schooling. The tests are administered in schools within a specified time window. The Papers are marked by teachers and a sample is sent to CIE for moderation.
Students will be also tested in Arabic, Religion and Social Studies according to ministry regulations.
