Pre-IGCSE

The Grade 9 Transition Scheme Examinations provide clear objectives and aims to test skills as well as the simple recall of facts Teachers prepare students for the examination by following a carefully designed curriculum and methodology for which training is required.
The Grade 9 Transition Scheme IGCSE Core level is equivalent to the 3rd Preparatory level (Edadiya) of the Egyptian National Curriculum.
The exams will be provided by Cambridge and corrected there as well. The highest grade awarded for this exam is a C since the test covers only the Core of the subject.
Grade 8 will undergo a check point exam which is provided by Cambridge and assessed there as well.
The tests are available in English, Mathematics and Science. Checkpoint is not a formal qualification with a certificate. Checkpoint is designed to assist schools, teachers and students to assess strengths and weaknesses.
Grade 7 follow the Cambridge curriculum but is Tested and assessed by school.
All students are obliged to take Arabic, Religion and Social Studies according to ministry regulations.
